Grilled Asparagus
ingredients
1 bundle (about 1 lb.) asparagus, bottoms snapped off, stems peeled, if necessary
1 Tbsp. olive oil
2 tsp. lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Time: 3 minutes
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Bend the end of each asparagus stem and snap it off-don't cut it. (It should break off naturally about a half inch from the bottom.) Add the prepared asparagus and turn off the heat. Let the asparagus stand in the water for 1 minute. Drain and splash with cold water.
2. Combine the olive oil and lemon juice in a bowl. Add the asparagus and mix well. Place the asparagus on a hot grill rack set 6 inches from the heat source. Be sure to place the asparagus so the stalks do not fall through the rack. (Or place the asparagus on an indoor grill pan.) Grill 2 minutes until slightly charred. Remove the asparagus from the grill and season with salt and pepper.
