Each of these recipes was prepared using a different utensil or implement: parchment paper for the Steamed Chicken With Sun-Dried Tomatoes; a collapsible metal steamer basket for the Steamed Asian Fish; and a bamboo steamer for the Steamed Coconut Custard.
But you can do a lot of cooking over steam with just the inexpensive collapsible steamer basket. If you search for one on a site such as amazon.com, you'll find several that cost less than $10.

I STOPPED EATING THEM WHEN I FOUND OUT I HAD DIABETES - ABOUT 8 MOS. AGO. THEN I SUDDENLY
HAD THE URGE TO EAT A BANANA, SO I CHOSE AN ORGANIC ONE WHICH IS BETTER FOR MY BLOOD TYPE
ANYWAY. I FELT FINE BUT I DO UNDERSTAND THEY HAVE CARBS., MY ENEMY. I LOVE PASTA ALSO AND
HAD CONTINUED EATING IT. JUST HAD MY BLOOD TESTS DONE BY MY DOCTOR AND MY GLUCOSE CAME
OUT AT 150 WHICH I KNOW IS TOO HIGH. HE DID NOT WANT TO RAISE MY MEDS. SO INSTEAD I AGREED
TO CUT BACK ON PASTA FOR ONE. BUT I STILL FEEL I NEED BANANAS BECAUSE OF THE POTASSIUM.
I have had prediabetes for many years
I have blurry vision and painful neuropothy in my feet. I know I need to loose weight but that is easier said than done. There is no diabetes in my family history. I am 5'2" and weigh 139 and I'm 75 years old.
