All Accusure insulin syringes, regardless of lot number, have been recalled because their needles can become detached from the syringe, perhaps remaining in the vial after drawing insulin or under the skin after injection. The syringes were distributed between 2002 and this month to pharmacies nationwide, including Puerto Rico.
