Join a Fitness Program
Join a fitness program at your local senior center or YMCA. Researchers studied more than 400 older adults who took part in a community center’s hour-long physical activity program, which combined flexibility training, low-impact aerobics, and resistance training. After 10 weeks, they found, people who had followed the program were more fit and more likely to keep working out than those who hadn’t.
