Busy Lives, Fast Food

Hectic schedules may be forcing many young people to grab unhealthy meals on the go, suggests a University of Minnesota study. In a survey of 1,687 young adults, researchers found that feeling rushed made nearly half skip social sit-down meals and opt for a quick bite. No surprise: On-the-run eating meant more soda, fast food, and saturated fat, while sit-down meals with friends provided a chance to eat more fruits and vegetables.
