Testing in Public

I dont mind testing in public. I hope that this will bring an awareness to diabetes.

Testing in public

Testing in public is very natural for me. I have had many conversations that were able to bring an awareness to diabetes. It has also been a myth-buster for some individual's ideas of diabetes.

Do you test your blood glucose in public?

I don't always have the option of going off somewhere to test, but I try to be discreet.

i wish there was more help

i wish there was more help for people with diabetes cheaper health programs

I test my blood sugar

I test my blood sugar everywhere, at school, in restaurants, and even waiting in line at the grocery store! Though I am not shy about testing my blood sugar in public, I still get really embarrassed when my blood sugar is high. I cover my glucometer screen so strangers can't see my numbers.

Diabetes Forcast -- the April 2009

I have been receiving the Diabetes Forecast for nearly thirteen years and in my judgement this is the BEST issue. They are all very good but this one, in my judgement, is the best. It is the "Back to Basics" articals that are outstanding.

On 3 Mar 1996 I entered the hospital with a glucose count of 1167, the highest reading on record for that hospital. Through their help and guidance I came back to "normal". However, is has been your magazine and its helpful and informative articles on a monthly basis that has helped me get hold of things. Now at age 73 I am leading a worderful life.

Do you test your blood glucose in public

Yes, I test in public when it is necessary and also, I inject before a meal right at the table, just as soon as the waiter brings my order.

Public testing!

My son (10 yrs old)has type 1 and we test and take insulin shots in public, it's our fact of life and it does not bother us in the slightest who does or does not know. He is very active with roller hockey and it brings it more to everyones awareness as well.

Let's find a cure!!

I only have to test once a

I only have to test once a day at this time, so if I'm in public and it's time, I do it. I see nothing wrong with testing in public. I have disease, and it is not contagious. Smokers do not have a problem smoking in front of me, and they are actually harming the surrounding environment.

Testing in pulic

No one should be ashame to test in public, God has given you this and has a very important plan for each and everyone of you. think about it Moms breat feed babys and that is a need just like yours is a need..
